Opera Speakeasy kicks off the season with Santa Fe Opera harpist Grace Browning and returning artist soprano Sara Gartland (praised as “utter perfection” by Opera Today) in Sara’s only performance in Santa Fe, NM this summer.  

Earth and Air is a program celebrating nature & inspiring climate support, featuring members of the Santa Fe Opera Orchestra and Sarasota Orchestra: David Dash (trumpet), Chris Schnell (cello), Katherine Gilger (violin), and Phoebe Powell (harp). 

Archipelago en España celebrates Spanish Market weekend with a historical performance dating back to when San Miguel Chapel first opened its doors, performed by international Baroque artists Lorenzo Colitto, Lisa Ferguson, and friends.  

Fantastic Brass is a premiere brass ensemble curated by local and national guest artists: David Dash (trumpet), Jarrett McCourt (tuba/cimbasso), Jim Tobias (trombone), Gregory Flint (french horn), and SFO Principal Trumpet William Leathers.  

The Santa Fe Harp Quartet features Grace Browning and her team of harpists from Wagner’s Die Walkure - Ruth Bennett (Opera Philadelphia), Phoebe Powell (Sarasota Orchestra) and Eleanor Kirk (Chicago Harp Quartet) - performing original arrangements for harp quartet.  

Duo Zuber features flutist Patricia Zuber (Santa Fe Opera) and marimbist Greg Zuber (Metropolitan Opera, principal percussion) performing Debussy and Bach with a new twist.

Chansons de Bilitis juxtaposes contemporary with romantic works including the rarely performed sextet by Claude Debussy, featuring narrateur/soprano Jamie Jordan Druckman (soprano, New York New Music Ensemble) with resident CM@SMC performers.  

Les and Friends features exceptional pianist & conductor Leslie Dala (Vancouver & Santa Fe Opera) with international artist friends.

Now a popular annual tradition, Opera in the Oldest Chapel features singers and instrumentalists for a program of operatic vignettes, art songs, and annual favorites in this grand season finale. Reception to follow!
